Still in quarantine lol

Another week or another month in quarantine. This week felt soooo long i thought everyday was Saturday but nope looks like that only comes once!

Tuesday: we went outside & made videos for our zone facebook page!! It was fun & gave us a break from our apartment. Never have I ever been so thankful for the outdoors!!

Wednesday: Sis Deweese & I both taked with Sis Kuck & that took up lots of our day. I realized a lot of things that I can work on which is really good because what better time to better myself than in quarantine?? We also spent a lot of time outside again & that made me happy!!

Thursday: we had District Council!! I never thought I would be so happy to see other missionaries on a screen. HA really though everytime we have a call it makes my day sooo much better! We also did a Live video on our facebook page Joy in Christ! It was kinda hilarious but it was fun so its ok hahaha :)

Friday: such a slow day. We did absolutely nothing besided stuff on loFacebook. It was a real boring day. I got to call my family though & they always bring more happiness!

Saturday: we heart attacked some members & planned all day! In the evening we had a sisters night with the sisters in our zone! We just talked & it was so fun!!

Sunday: we started a class with our branch to teach them how to memorize whats in each chapter of the Book of Mormon!! It was fun & has been a great way to learn better ourselves. We also had a mission wide sisters call with sister marsh & our mission therapist & talked about how quarantine has been for our sake. Didnt ever really think this was for my sake but i have learned a TON so thats good! I also got to see all my friends so that was a huge blessing!

The days keep going & im still here! id say that a big accomplishment for me! Hahaha I am still so thankful to be a missionary. This week i had a dream that i came home & was crying & crying because i didnt get to wear my tag anymore. Yes it definitely put things in perspective. I started thinking about all the missionaries who were sent home & i realized how blessed I am to be here. Ohhh how i love serving my savior even if the circumstances arent ideal! I have learned soooo much this last month & im sooo grateful for that!

Yay for zoom calls i guess HA

This week was a little better!

Tuesday: we had zoom calls all day! It made the day go by so fast & it was so fun seeing so many faces!

Wednesday: a typical day in quarantine. We didnt do much just basically trying to survive. Hahaha we are constantly finding ways to improve our work on facebook though so if youve got any ideas let me know!

Thursday: we had zone conference over zoom call!! It was really fun & i learned a lot. Something I love that President Marsh is having us do is make a whole list of Life Events. So basically just anything that is meaningful that has happened. Whether funny, spiritual, random, literally anything! Its been really fun to just reflect on my 20 years of life & all the things i hold close to my heart :) so if you get bored during quarantine make a list of life events!!

Friday: ohhh what a roller coaster day. Quarantine is weird because one moment im fine & the next im going crazy hahahah. Friday I got to call my family though & I am soooo grateful for the support & encouragement each one of them give me. I really have no idea what I would do without each one of them.

Saturday: we had interviews with President & Sister Marsh!! They are both so aware of me & my situation & its truly incredible. With all this chaos going on & all the missionaries they have they remember each one of us & do what they can to make this time easier. I LOVE THEM! We had district council & also did a sisters night! So this day was pretty busy which is soooo good!!

Sunday: our branch president gave us the sacrament & then the STL's came & gave us face masks! It was good to see a few people in REAL life!! The rest of the day was pretty boring we did make cornbread pudding & that was an adventure! But we did it. HA

Missionary work isnt the same but im learning ways to keep it moving. I am grateful to be a misisonary & for the opportunity to go through these trial so i can continue to learn & grow to become more like my savior.

Sister Deweese told me this week how she thinks its cool that even during these hard times I still tend to remember im a representative for Jesus Christ & do what i can to fulfill that. I thought about that for a second & asked myself "what has made me be that way?" I realized its because I have truly grown to love my Savior Jesus Christ & there is NO ONE I would rather represent. Even though this time is really hard I couldnt be more grateful to be able to put my name tag on everyday & bring others to Him. Ohhh how I love my Savior.

Love y'all & have a great week!

Day 26 wooo

Hello Everyone!! Day 26 of being quarantined but whos counting?

Not real sure what to even write about anymore but ill give it a shot.

Tuesday: one of the worst days of quarantine. Im literally going insane & had to talk to a therapist but ya im still out in the field being a missionary so its fine.

Wednesday: we heart attacked some members & were literally putting the hearts on the door & the member opens it & we go "ummm were heart attacking you" & she goes "ok ill let you finish." & shuts the door. HA only in quarantine.

Thursday: ok one of the better days!! We had district council & THIS IS WHAT KEEPS ME SOMEWHAT SANE. I loveee the misisonaries im serving around & being around other people is MY THING! We had lots of fun, talked a lot, & even took lots or pics for our new Facebook page! I also got to call my family so it was a good day in quarantine.

Friday: longgggg day full of planning & a basic boring day of being quarantined.

Saturday: We had a lesson with the Taylors who is a family with 5 little girls & wow i loveee them all! We talked about Easter & it was so good to see people even if it was just over camera! We also had a lesson with Sister Flowers & talked about Alma the Younger & the sons of Mosiah and how they were able to be completely forgiven for their sins & we can be too! It was a great to see so many faces in one day!

Sunday: we went to the Taylors for the sacrament & it was sooo special. I love my Savior & being able to celebrate His resurrection has been incredible. They also sent us home with an Easter Dinner!! So nice!!

I am so grateful for the wonderful time I was able to spend studying & learning more about my savior this week. The Savior suffered for each of us individually & knows EXACTLY how we feel. We never need to feel alone. Ohhh i find soo much comfort in that. My cute mom sent me recordings of her studies of Christ this week & I have learned sooo much. I couldnt be more grateful for all the support I have felt while being a missionary! So thanks mom & thank you everyone else!!

mission life

This week has been FULL of emotions & ups & downs. Tbh half the time im not even sure how im feeling im just glad to still be living the misison life hahah. Whatever that may be.

Monday: ok let me tell you about a little tender mercy. I have a best friend in the mission that if you've read my emails before you most likely have heard. Anyways its Sister Graff & she called me Monday night which is like a no In the mission so i was like ummm... what are you doing?? & she said she has been feeling prompted to call me the last couple of days & finally decided to ask & see if she could get it approved & she was able to call me!!! Ahhhh omg it was the biggest tender mercy. I've been struggling with basically just life lately & being able to talk to her was THE BEST THING EVER!!
We also got transfer calls later monday night & im staying in Blairsville.

Tuesday: we got a referral!! Whatt!!?? Who gets a referral in quarantine??!! Yay it was another much needed tender mercy. His name is Michael & he actually referred himself & has met missionaries before! So cool! We did a video call with him on tuesday & it went so good! Yay im excited for him!

Wednesday: a very rough day in quarantine. It felt like there wasnt anything to do & I got very discouraged! The Murphy sisters stopped by in the evening on their way back from transfers & it was a huge tender mercy to me to be able to see people & be able to turn outward & see we are all in this together!

Thursday: another day of quarantine with not much exciting that happened. I spent a lot of the day studying about Joseph Smith & the first vision & had some really cool experiences & learned some things I hadnt thought about before! Studying brings so many unique experiences into our lives!!

Friday: Sister Flowers got married & we were able to go!! Omg it was sooo exciting!! We got told she was getting married on wednesday so ya it was kinda last minute hahaha! She married the Murphy Sisters recent convert so they were there too!! So fun!! After we spent some of the day with the Murphy Sisters so ya it was a good much needed outing haha

Saturday: General Conference pt.1!! Yayay we watched conference as a district so that was wayy fun!! I enjoyed so many of the talks but loved Douglas D. Holmes in the morning session. He mentioned the important of relationships and how we need to support eachother & spend time together to create strong relationships. Something that stuck out to me was "Help others learn who they are from you." We should help others find themselves and come closer to christ instead of being an obstacle in the way. He talked a lot about the Youth of the church as well & how they ARE prepared for this time! I kept thinking of my little sis courty & how she is truly so pure & doesnt let the world effect who she is. LOVE YOU COURTY & I strive to be more like you EVERYday!!

Sunday: General Conference pt. 2!! The Murphy sisters came to our church so we could all watch it together! Yay for other missionaries!! Just like saturday there were many great talks! One that stuck out to me was by Bonnie H. Cordon! She talked about our light & how we will truly obtain the light of christ when we are focused on bringing others to him. Sometimes I feel like my light isn't as bright as I would like it to be but this was a great reminder that as long as I am fully commited & focused on loving God & my fellow neighbors God will help me share his light! Conference is always a time of upliftment & I am so excited to find new ways to Hear Him as I continue to strive to receive daily personal revelation! Oh what a blessing it is to hear from a living Prophet & Apostles!

These are trying times right now but as we hold on tight to the word if God we will be able to find complete strength in our Savior Jesus Christ. I am blessed to be a missionary even during these trying times. Just as President Nelson said, thess times WILL pass :) Love Y'all & keep being you!!
